ZD30 Patrol Cheap Improvement Parts 2000 - 2007
Let's face it the ZD30 Patrols from 2000-2007 are now edging towards being an older platform. They have been driving in Australia's Harsh conditions now for 20 years. This means that the original factory components are going to be warn and need replacing. The items below are cheap and easy to replace and will improve your Patrols braking and ride comfort to feel like it is new again.
Nissan Patrol ZD30 2000 - 2007 HubRotors & Pads $
Rotors and pads are a cheap way to restore some of your GU Patrols braking power, this along with changing out your brake fluid you can easily return your Patrols braking capacity back to its original capabilities. We suggest our Tora brake pads as they are a great compound that isn’t too harsh on your rotors.
This is a cheap fix.
Shocks $
After years of offroading abuse, it is common for GU Patrols to need new shocks, replacing your old shocks will bring life back into your patrols comfort and handling performance. Oil shocks over time lose performance due to the oil heating and cooling over its lifetime. Over time the oil foams up and loses viscosity reducing the shocks performance.
This is an affordable fix.
Suspension Bushings $
Suspension bushings wear down, due to constant use, dirt and oils. Changing bushings brings back the vehicles steering rigidity. You can either upgrade to Polyurethane bushings that are able to withstand harsh treatment and oils/dirt. Or if you are after a softer compound rubber bushings will give your vehicle the ride quality of when it rolled off the showroom floor.
This is an affordable fix.
Lift Kit $$
Lift Kits are a great option to completely overhaul your Patrols suspension setup. When selecting a lift kit you're able to make sure the springs match your vehicles weight requirements that you might need due to dual batteries, bull bar etc while also having the advantage of adding extra height so your Patrol has extra clearance for larger wheels.
This is an affordable fix.
